The Beginnings of Summer | 2013

Summer.
Such a sweet word.
Golden sun lit on your lashes, the beautiful song of nature singing in your ear, the smell of lustrous blossoms, and an abundance of color.

This is my baby boy Ranger, who just so happens to be the sweetest yellow lab you’ll ever come across. Labs have such a sweet disposition, and are extremely loyal dogs!
Little Bubbles (Our miniature pony)

Mmm gotta love golden hour!

My “famous” Rhubarb Pie.;) Come up to Washington sometime & I’ll give you a piece.
I personally love storms, but I think my favorite part is the rainbow.
I’m not going to be posting on here for a few weeks due to the fact that I will be on the white sands of Mexico soaking up some sun.
I’ll be sure to post all about my grand adventure when I return. That is IF I return. ;)

How’s your summer going so far?

Tom & Sarah | Wedding | Mr. & Mrs.

It was a beautiful sunny day in April. I jumped out of bed like an excited little kid, threw on my little black dress, opened my blood shot eyes, put on some makeup, curled my hair, brushed my teeth, and got my gear together in a rush. I Hopped in my car, and off I went to 2nd shoot a wedding an hour away from where I live.

There’s something about weddings I love. Maybe it’s the giddy brides maids, the abundance of hairspray, Starbucks coffee, all the makeup a girl could ask for, the bride’s excitement, or maybe it’s just all of it together.
What I do know is that I love, love, LOVE what I do! I get to capture moments, details, passion, and savor away all this.
My bride made this dress herself. Yes, herself. Pretty amazing!

The day was perfect, like something from a fairytale. It was dreamy.

What is your favorite part about a wedding?

It’s The Little Things | 2013

It’s so easy in life to look over the little things in life. We are so easily consumed by other things that we don’t allow ourselves to notice other details. So stop. Take a step back, a breath of fresh air, and a new perspective to notice these "oh so” precious moments. After all, who knows if you’ll ever get these moments back? It could be something as simple as your little sister running around begging you to play princesses and pirates with her, yet you get aggravated by the constant noise and ask her to stop. Perhaps you’re getting ready for an event and you walk in your room to find your little sister with lipstick all over her face because she wanted to wear make up like her older sister. Maybe when you’re little brother goes to (try) and tackle you, it aggravates you. Most likely you think to yourself “Why are my siblings being such nuisances.” That’s the thing though...enjoy the moment. Make the most of it. The little sister who wanted to play princesses and pirates will someday wanna play a sport. Your younger sister who once got into your lipstick will soon have some of her own, and the little brother who once tackled you will be you’re strong brother who will look out for you. So next time your siblings make you upset; enjoy it. When you’re older sister is pestering you while you’re trying to take a picture...soak in that moment.
Those random trips to Krispy Kreme & the doughnut eating dare between me and my older sister are moments, memories, and something to treasure. It’s a little thing, sure, but it means something. Somehow eating doughnuts until we felt sick was something to look back on and smile about. Even though in the moment my stomach was very upset with me.

Thank You | 2013

I’d like to think of myself as a good blogger, but quite frankly I am far from. College has kept me busier then a bee lately! Ok, so I may have over exaggerated that just a bit.;)Point is, I need to be a better blogger. So as the lovely Jane Fonda says, “ It's never too late - never too late to start over, never too late to be happy.” So I’ve made up my mind to do just that. Start over, get back on my feet, and improve.

Ok, now the point of this post if to say one thing....

Yes, that’s right. I want to say thank you for a reason. Firstly, thank YOU.. yes each and everyone of you that has ever commented, showed interest, visited my website, my blog, and “liked” my photos. I read every single one of the comments I receive & it truly makes my day.
After all, who doesn’t like having complements thrown at them? The point is, y’all are awesome!

Have a cherry day!
